Treatments: Infertility Surgery
Some infertility cases must be managed with surgery. With modern
surgery we can perform almost all types of surgery through very
small incisions with the use of laparoscopy. This is a special
device with a special lens, a light system and a video camera
attached to it. Images are reproduced in a monitor with some
degree of magnification. With this procedure we can free the
fallopian tubes, eliminate endometrial implants, excise miomas,
free adhesions, excise ovarian cyst, etc.
Laparoscopy Surgery
Advantages of this procedure are that recovery period is
faster than with conventional surgery. Theoretically it reduces
the chances of adhesion formation after surgery, because of the
neatness of the surgery.
In cases of surgical sterilization reversion microsurgery is
used. This consists on the introduction of operating microscope
in order to magnify the images and perform a very delicate
procedure which can not be accomplish without magnification.
Besides this surgery includes the use of very fine instruments
and a clean technique that prevents post operative adhesion
formation.
